Hire FNFF to run your next LANs Network!
|
|
I was thinking to myself, "Why not allow other LANs of Colorado to use our awesome equipment?" It's becoming harder and harder for LANs to find suitable places to play so why not make it a little easier by allowing any LAN to have us come in and run the network. Read more here.

CherryPal PC!
|
|

Use PROMO CODE: CPP201 to get this pc for $240
CherryPal is a brand new company bringing some very innovative answers to the world of computers.
They have created the worlds first POWERFUL green Personal Computer. The CherryPal PC has the processing power needed to surf the web, run applications, download music, watch videos, play flash games, some 3D games, and tons more. Plain and simple, never has the market seen a PC capable of doing so much while consuming so little power. How much power does a CherryPal consume? ONLY TWO WATTS. Two watts of electricity compared to the 500+ watts that most PC's consume today. Most everyone is going to want to switch out their bulky computers for this tiny marvel, it not only saves tons of money in electricity usage but it saves TONS OF SPACE. It weighs only 10.5 ounces and is the size of a paperback book! Finally a full size computer that can sit stylishly on a desktop and not take up any space.
CherryPal uses the Linux (Debian) operating system instead of the "standard," Windows. Many people are intimidated by this because they don't understand Linux and how it operates. Well I'm here to dispel any fears you guys may have about Linux being a bad or "lesser" operating system. The first thing that makes Linux so great? It's Free. One hundred percent free and easy to find. Why blow hundreds of dollars on Windows XP or Vista when you can download a copy of Linux immediately from the internet and have it on your computer in seconds and it doesn't cost you a dime. Many people say that Linux can't do what Windows can. That's not true, Linux can do almost everything Windows can, what it can't do is be compatible with some of the programs that Windows uses. Let's look at it this way, all of those programs that you buy like Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel aren't compatible with Linux but are with Windows, why is that? That answer lies with one person, Bill Gates. Mr. Gates not only owns the Windows franchise but he also owns Microsoft which puts out Windows. So it makes sense that all of those Microsoft programs are going to be WINDOWS exclusive. But that isn't necessarily a problem. Linux uses "open-source" operation which makes it essentially an operating system "for the people, by the people." Linux may not have Microsoft Excel, or Microsoft Office, or Word, or whatever else but it does have similar if not the SAME programs under a different name. The awesome thing about it? Most of those programs can be downloaded for FREE to use on your FREE Linux system. No more unneeded trips to the computer store to waste hundreds of dollars on Microsoft programs. Just download the Word and Spreadsheet programs that Linux offers for free! See the benefits of Linux now? Sure, so Linux can't play some of the new computer games that just came out, but that isn't its fault. Blame those gaming companies for being to afraid of Linux to port their game to play on it. What we need is to get the Linux OS in the hands of many of you, prove to these companies that it is a successful OS and I guarantee you will see more things ported to run on Linux. The other solid thing about Linux? It's very stable, much more stable than Windows and comes without the worry of Viruses or that horrid Spyware. It's a great system that more people should try out.
So see? The CherryPal has awesome potential and Linux is nothing to be afraid of, it should be embraced. We need to try new things in this world of ever expanding technology.
CherryPal Technical Specs
* Freescale's MPC5121e mobileGT processor, 800 MIPS (400 MHz) of processing power * 256MB of DDR2 DRAM * 4GB NAND Flash-based solid state drive * WiFi 802.11b/g Wi-Fi * Two USB 2.0 ports * One 10/100 Ethernet with RJ-45 jack * One VGA DB-15 display out jack * Headphone level stereo audio out 3.5mm jack * 9vDC 2.5mm 10 watt AC-DC adapter power supply * 10.5 ounces * 1.3" high, 5.8" x 4.2" wide (Information quoted directly from TreeHugger.com)
I know what you're thinking now after seeing the technical specs. First off you must be worried about that horrible sounding processor. Well, no worries. See, that processor isn't an INTEL and it isn't an AMD. It's a new brand of processor which means that it doesn't act like INTEL or AMD processors do. It is actually a very powerful processor capable of many things. Don't knock it just because it's different, give it a try and you'll see that it really is a good unit. The other issue I'm sure you saw was only 4 Gigs of space and you're freaking out because that's a tiny amount of space. Here is where CherryPal continues to amaze us. That means that there is only 4 GIGS of memory on the actual computer itself, but you also get 50 GIGS of space on an online server. This is a new edgy idea called cloud computing. CherryPal stores all this information online for you, which keeps it off your machine. What does this mean for you? First off it means that the hard drive can be solid state and small, Solid State means no moving parts which saves power, and it won't generate much heat if any. The truly awesome part about cloud computing? All your information is SAFE from technical failure or malfunction. How many of you have lost loads of information because your computer crashed or your hard drive just flat out died? Well CherryPal uses cloud computing as a fail safe to that. What if your CherryPal gets crushed? Dropped? Blown up? What if a tornado blows through your house and destroys only your CherryPal? No big deal, just get a new one, all your information is SAFE because it's stored on an online server! How genius is that? Now they are finding ways to keep information safe even if the computer is destroyed. So what does this futuristic beauty look like?
It's pretty sleek and convenient isn't it? So now that you know all about it what do you think? Are you interested in joining the new age of computing? Do you want to save tons on your electric bill? Do you want freedom from Windows for once? Freedom to download programs and surf the web without having to worry about buying special "Microsoft" programs? Do you want freedom from Viruses and Spyware? What about more space to work and not having to worry about some overheated, large, clunky machine wasting your work space and making it uncomfortable hot and tight. Do you want your information and hard work to be safe from mechanical defect? Think about it people, this is something truly revolutional to the world of computers and the best part about it? It's only 200 dollars! That's something that almost everyone can afford to invest in. Let's help ourselves, let's help the world, let's bring the future to everyone! Welcome to CherryPal. If you answered yes to any or all of those questions above then you are ready to join the future! So here is how to order. Simply go HERE and order! Remember, just go to THIS WEB SITE and insert PROMO CODE: CPP201 to receive your new CherryPal system for only $240!
